Plantagotchi – AI Smart Planter

Well, the product itself is cute. The battery life is an issue It needs to be charged every single day. It does not maintain a charge more than eight hours.
Water sensor notifications are lacking. It appears that you would have to buy into a phone plan in order to get notifications which is weird. I like it enough not to return it

I have a difficult time keeping my plants alive. I heard of this product and thought it was super cute. I figured, "Why not" try something that will allow me to finally keep my plant alive? I chose an easy succulent that was not toxic for my cats and could be kept in my office. This Smart Flowerpot is so cute with its facial expressions. The facial expressions will change according to the holidays. You can create your own expressions if you choose to (you need to use a computer and can't do it on the app). It comes with an app that keeps you informed on the health of the plant, including water level, light level, air temperature, and humidity.

The face of the flowerpot can be changed to either the expressions or the date and time. There is even a Pomodoro Timer option to help your work productivity. It has touch "bars" on the sides that do different functions on the flowerpot.

Overall, I can finally keep a plant alive with this flowerpot! The app tells me when to add more water as it "drinks" from the bottom.

The only problem is that the pot for the plant is small, so I had to find a tiny succulent that would fit. I would really love it if they created a much larger smart flowerpot that I could place in another room and actually plant regular-sized flowers in.

After using Ivy, the intelligent flower pot, I have to say it’s an incredibly unique addition to my home. Ivy is more than just a planter; it’s like a small companion that interacts and responds to you. Here’s my detailed take:

It’s fascinating how Ivy’s “personality” evolves based on my interactions, making each experience slightly different from the last.
2. Great for Pet Lovers or Kids: The “electronic pet” aspect is particularly appealing. Ivy offers the companionship of a pet but without the responsibilities of feeding or cleaning up after it. This makes it perfect for anyone who might want the sense of a pet without the added commitment, like kids or people who travel frequently.
3. Device Support and Easy App Connectivity: Ivy connects seamlessly to a smartphone app, which lets you manage updates and adjust settings. The OTA updates mean Ivy keeps improving, which I appreciate. The app is also very intuitive and informative about the plants it supports.
4. Waterproof and Lightweight Design: Despite being full of technology, Ivy is remarkably lightweight and waterproof, making it easy to move around without worrying about spills or damage. I can place it anywhere in my home, and the design allows it to blend well with my decor.
5. Long Battery Life: With the built-in battery, Ivy can monitor plants for up to 48 hours during a power outage. This feature offers some peace of mind, knowing my plants won’t be neglected during unexpected situations.

Cons:

1. Battery Dependency: While the built-in battery can last 48 hours, Ivy works best when plugged in. It seems to drain relatively quickly if unplugged, which can be inconvenient. If you plan to keep Ivy in a spot without an outlet nearby, it may require frequent recharging.
2. Limited Compatibility with Plants: The pot is compatible with a certain range of plants, so if you have specific preferences, it may not be the ideal choice. While the app does offer updates, plant compatibility is still somewhat limited.
3. No Plant Included: Despite the price, Ivy does not come with a plant. This isn’t a huge drawback, but for the cost, it would be nice if it included a starter plant to get you going.

Grazie all’intelligenza artificiale, monitorano le condizioni delle piante e visualizzano la temperatura, aiutandomi a gestire meglio l’irrigazione e l'esposizione alla luce. Il design è moderno e si integra bene con l’arredamento.

In generale, trovo questi vasi molto utili, specialmente per chi non ha molto tempo per prendersi cura delle piante. Un ottimo prodotto per migliorare la crescita delle piante in casa!

Very cute planter! I am using this in my classroom and I am sure my students are going to love it! It charged quickly and was just set up. The sensors are on the side and they are silver. I almost peeled them off and it was a sticker, so be careful when you open not to those off.
